Description
To support business units and HR Generalist.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance and employee relations.
Responsibilities
Recruit and develop sourcing strategy, screen candidates, interview and set up further interviews with appropriate teams. Must be able to develop relationships with hiring managers and other employees
Keep up to date will new employment regulations and make necessary changes to hiring practices
Assist in developing recruitment strategies
Ensure compliance with various aspects of Human Resources as applicable with relevant laws
Assist with development, recommendations and implementation of HR policies and processes
Oversee background checks
Participate in Employee Relations Investigations and disciplinary hearings
Conduct Exit interviews
Develop recruitment strategies and manage recruitment marketing materials.
Support HR Director with special projects and initiatives.
Assist in mandated drug & Alcohol program maintenance
Qualifications and Experience
4+ years HR experience
BA or BS degree
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Prior staffing experience
Labor relations experience in a unionized environment a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to work in a very fast paced environment
