Job description

This role serves as the conduit of financial information between Accounting and Operations of the company's Elite division. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to various businesses and its senior management team. The senior accountant will report directly to the BU Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the consolidation of the segment's income statement and balance sheet.

• Prepare and maintain financial statement reports in support of the internal and external reporting processes.

• Analyze and investigate business drivers to the financial information; Review analytics on a monthly basis.

• Assist in preparing adjustments for revenues and expenses that do not flow automatically into the financial reporting system in conjunction with the segment reporting team.

• Assist in Analyzing inter and intra segment elimination relationships, ensuring internal transactions are properly reported amongst the major segments.

• Prepare monthly disclosures and analytics for management review.

• Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls.

• Assist in Review of divisional account reconciliations on a monthly basis.

• Assist in Developing forecast and projection models for all facets of the business (including balance sheets and cash flows).

• Assist in automating forecasting & budgeting process.

• Interact with all areas of the business to understand forecast & budget assumptions.

• Assist in the off-shoring of certain accounting and finance functions.

• Respond to ad hoc requests for information.

Qualifications

• CPA with Big Four experience

• 4-6  years experience in a financial control or accounting role

• Understanding of financial data and business processes

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (particularly revenue recognition) and SEC disclosure requirements

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

• Required to be diligent and to perform the tasks with high attention to detail

• Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written)

• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

• Ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring data integrity and working in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
