This role serves as the conduit of financial information between Accounting and Operations of the company’s Elite division. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to various businesses and its senior management team. The senior accountant will report directly to the BU Controller.
Assist in the consolidation of the segment’s income statement and balance sheet
Prepare and maintain financial statement reports in support of the internal and external reporting processes.
Analyze and investigate business drivers to the financial information; Review analytics on a monthly basis.
Assist in preparing adjustments for revenues and expenses that do not flow automatically into the financial reporting system in conjunction with the segment reporting team
Assist in Analyzing inter and intra segment elimination relationships, ensuring internal transactions are properly reported amongst the major segments
Prepare monthly disclosures and analytics for management review.
Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls.
Assist in Review of divisional account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Assist in Developing forecast and projection models for all facets of the business (including balance sheets and cash flows)
Assist in automating forecasting & budgeting process
Interact with all areas of the business to understand forecast & budget assumptions
Assist in the off-shoring of certain accounting and finance functions
Respond to ad hoc requests for information.
CPA with Big Four experience
4-6 years experience in a financial control or accounting role
Understanding of financial data and business processes
Strong knowledge of US GAAP (particularly revenue recognition) and SEC disclosure requirements
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Required to be diligent and to perform the tasks with high attention to detail
Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written)
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring data integrity and working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
