Technical Program Manager-Testing
Position will be Hybrid or possibly Remote
Salary & Bonus will be commensurate with experience
Job Description
As a key member of the System’s Platform Engineering organization, the Technical Program Manager for MFG Test software solutions is accountable for assisting Platform Engineering senior leadership team on managing key MFG Test software solutions deliverables (MFG test plans, source code and release packages schedules, etc.) across internal organizations for multiple projects at various stages (EVT/DVT/NPI/MP) throughout product lifecycle while acting as an advocate to minimize and mitigate risks and issues. The Technical Program Manager will also act as the primary one-voice communication channel for MFG Test software solutions (both -developed and customers-owned) relevant tasks on behalf of the Platform Engineering organization in business meeting with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
Responsibilities
Work closely with MFG Test SW Engineering, Platform/Systems TPMs, NPI
Products Ops, IT and Production QC teams to ensure successful development and on-time deployment of MFG Test software solutions in global scope
Develop, release and maintain MFG Test Plans by following technical guidance provided by Platform Engineering Test Committee
Internal/external communications
Manage feature enhancements and quality
Requirements
Experience with Test Tools and Test Tool Development
Extensive background in systems/rack/cluster-level validation
Hands-on interoperability testing
Good understanding of x-86 server system architecture
Excellent understanding of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions
Strong Cross-functional team management, strong interpersonal skills and adaptive communication style
Understanding of System level server platforms and how each component interacts with the system
Strong Project Management skills in developing schedules and tracking to milestones
Competencies
Good understanding of hardware and system software interactions, and ability to apply this knowledge to resolve technical issues
Ability to view situations objectively from different perspectives
Ability to frame situations and make/drive decisions
Ability to resolve Complex problems, drive for results, innovate, think and lead strategically
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Masters preferred
8+ years of relevant experience in Test Tools/Solutions development, 6+ years with Masters
4+ years as a Lead
