Description:
We are an independent organization that supports the bank in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management, and the control environment within all business divisions globally. We are independent in our work and report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Risk Committee. Our structure consists of divisional audit teams throughout the world, reflecting business structure. We are looking for an outstanding professional to join our dynamic Global Asset Management – Americas Audit team in New York City as an Audit Manager. In this role, you will leverage your understanding to plan, perform and report the results of Global Asset Management – Americas and global audits.
Your main responsibilities are: • Analyzing and assessing risks (market conduct, suitability, valuation, market, credit, operational, legal and compliance, etc.) assumed by the business; • Identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks; • Providing practical, innovative, and value-added solutions to issues identified; • Preparing reports of audit findings for senior management at local, global, functional and Group levels; • Monitoring the results, risk profile and developments within Global Asset Management and provide input for planning sessions. • Additionally you will be expected to monitor the risk profile of business areas assigned to you and suggest changes/ additions to the audit plan as necessary.
Requirements:
You have gained strong experience (4 to 10+ years) in audit, compliance or internal control areas within the financial industry.
You have a good understanding of financial markets, particularly in asset management; including supporting operational activities and process flows within and between banks / counter parties, and a thorough knowledge of local and global regulatory requirements.
You are a flexible and committed team player willing to occasionally travel to other world-wide locations but mostly in New York and Chicago for audit assignments.
You have excellent project management and audit report writing skills.
You have strong analytical skills and are willing to keep up with financial industry developments and progressive auditing techniques.
You are fluent in English.
